Koala models agency: legit or scam?

Hello to all guys and girls, there have been many who have contacted me about the international modeling agency: Koala Models Agency, based in Milan, Italy. The most frequently asked question has been: is it legit or a scam? We will try to shed some light on this matter.

koala-models-agency-milan-italy

After contacting Diana, leader of the organization, I had the pleasure of exchanging numerous words and experiences about the world of fashion and design. It is a young and dynamic company that is beginning to expand through its online platform: Koala Models Agency.

What is their job? Putting both parts of the modeling world in contact: models / photographers with clients / brands. They take 10% for this management, and only on the bookings they get. Another point to keep in mind is that they do not require exclusivity, so their workers are not tied to the organization.

So far so good, don’t you guys? Well no, there are some models that claim that this agency requests a prepayment of a fee for the mere fact of appearing on the web. What has led to thinking about scam or if its legit. From the agency, we have been assured that there are two forms of registration: free and through a profile verification system with extra services such as: comprehensive profile management, own email, personal website, 24/7 management.

It is this fact that has made many suspect if it was a scam. From this blog we have contacted some of their models, photographers and influencers and we have been able to know that the services are indeed real, in fact really cheap, € 39 for a professional website with its own domain.

The free registration method does not include these services, logically. But you can still choose to belong to the agency and be eligible for future jobs.

IN CONCLUSION:

Koala Models agency is not a scam. You guys can enter for free or under extra services like the mentioned website.

If you want to know more I recommend you this site where some of their models and workers share their experiences: https://www.reddit.com/r/MODELING/comments/a1siz1/koalamodelsagencycom_does_anyone_have_experiences/

I hope I have clarified your doubts, now is your time, you can leave me comments on your experiences too.

The Winter 2019 fashion trends to follow

What’s new for next winter? Plenty. Easywear continues to be big, we’ll still be wrapping up warm in cozy clothes that make us feel safe, but for 2018 comfort will also mean an eclectic succession of familiar pieces, that are also fail-safe in the style stakes.

On this occasion, checks share protagonism with the animal print. Zebra, tiger, snake or crocodile join the classic leopardBoth checks and animal prints are far from discretion. This autumn-winter the most important thing is to combine them to shine, either with statement garments such as coats or jackets or with more than one piece in the same look.

The materials: leather, tweed, velvet, knit … and silk

_UMB2657

The fall-winter fashion shows are filled with the usual fabrics: knit, wool, velvet, leather or tweed. These fabrics remind us that the cold has reached our closets

Layering is front and center for next winter, with plays on texture and volume in a masterful game of accumulation. Balenciaga gave the illusion of nine layered items worn at once, playing with trompe-l’œil extremes to take on the arctic cold. At Chanel, layering was more discrete, with an updated hoodie worn over a padded jacket, over a dress. Prada went for a night-bright, multi-layered vision that was seen by Miuccia Prada as so many layers of protection for women.

A style: the vintage

The 60’s, 70’s and 80’s have influenced the collections of many of the designers for the upcoming fall-winter season. We can see that in the forms, ruffles, puff sleeves, prints… From the hippy touches to a lady like style, the designs look to the past.

Florals of all kinds were given an update for the new season, in all-over prints on maxi and mini lengths that stayed just the right side of chic. A look that could easily take over next winter.

Now you know how to dress this wintertime.

Reviews about New York Fashion Week

“Ralph Lauren is the father of American sportswear. The very notion of a lifestyle brand started with him. Indeed, in the five decades since he began, he has managed to export the allure of a nation in a way no other American fashion brand has been able to. And the emotional resonance of his designs was more palpable than ever tonight. The designer took a victory lap with tears in his eyes, and there was barely a dry eye in the house.” —Chioma Nnadi

The Row

The-Row-Fall-2013-New-York-Fashion-Week

“Spring 2019 is about the careful and considered progression of the extreme volume play that the Olsens have been so beautifully considering these past few seasons, with much emphasis on exploring every kind of silk fabrication, quiet handwork (witness the gorgeous creamy white tweedy coat with the frayed edges rendered by nimble fingers), and all presented in a palette that gracefully arcs from ivory to sand, to charcoal, to black. If fashion elsewhere is going full throttle into anything and everything that’s quote-unquote new, here the art of gentle recalibration is at work—a nudge forward that only underscores that these are clothes that are the absolute antithesis of fast.” —Mark Holgate

Gabriela Hearst

19-tastemaker-Gabi-Hearst.w710.h473.2x“First, the tailoring: Gabriela Hearst has become the New York resource for a serious, expertly cut pantsuit as other labels here and in Europe succumb to ornamentation and frivolity. Her suits often come in a surprising color, like bordeaux or blush pink, or a novel fabric such as metallic linen, but this season’s most striking was cut single-breasted with slim trousers in dark navy silk wool. Her dresses, meanwhile, ran the gamut, from sleek and sporty tanks in color-blocked cashmere to an hourglass evening number embroidered in freshwater pearls. What you didn’t see were any of the florally, frilly—sloppy, even—dresses produced by so many other labels these days. Hearst is true to her minimal deluxe aesthetic.” —Nicole Phelps

5 Best Dress Shoes for Men

1. The Brogue

Beautiful-Gaziano-Girling-half-brogue-in-brown-900x672

Brogues can be a deceptive shoe type. The name actually comes from the process of broguing, which involves adorning shoes with heavy perforations (large pin pricks). As such, shoes which are technically another style, such as Oxford or Derby, are often classed as Brogues because of this decorative addition. Confusing or not, the unique look creates a shoe with personality and style. Best of all, they can be worn with anything from jeans to a suit.

2. The Oxford

buy-Shoes-BOX-main

The Oxford is a classic men’s dress shoe that belongs in every gent’s closet. It can be identified by its closed lacing system, which features stitching across the bottom. Oxfords also tend to feature a low heel and short back, creating a neat and polished appearance. Perfect for pairing with a suit, Oxfords are a reliable choice for every formal occasion. While black, polished styles easily work for the highest of dress codes, other varieties of Oxfords can suit any number of events.

3. The Monk-Strap

lowndes-calf-blk0l

Monk-Strap shoe is a stylish and unique dress shoe. Featuring a strap across the top and a buckle (or two), the sleek design can be worn with a number of formal looks for everything from a business meeting to a night out. The popular and fashionable shoe is also a great choice for gents seeking a polished style with more interest than the standard Oxford or Derby. Just be sure to choose a leather style with a bit of shine to keep the look refined and suitably sharp.

4. The Sandal

ges2017-2

When it comes to summer, you needn’t sweat your feet off just to look stylishly dressed. While flip-flops are undoubtedly an inappropriate choice for formal and dressed-up occasions, a nice pair of sandals can be just what your outfit needs. Although you can’t rock them to a black-tie function, you can wear a pair to smart casual events and general weekend get-togethers where you want to look your best. Just look out for unique and sleek leather varieties to make your outfit work.

5. The Chelsea Boot

Loake-Chatsworth-Chelsea-Boot-900x868

When you think of dress shoes, you may not immediately think of boots, but maybe you should. After all, the right style of boot can provide gents with a great finishing touch to formal looks. Chelsea boots are one such style and can be paired with anything from a casual look to cocktail attire. The round toe, ankle boots feature elasticated sides that make them easy to slip on and off without laces or buckles. Departing with these traditional fastenings allows the Chelsea to create a super sleek and clean look.

Dress for the occasion

‘A well tailored suit is to women, what lingerie is to men’.

Ask any woman and she’ll tell you that a man in a suit is sexier than a man with rippling abs. If only men paid as much attention to their suits as they pay to their abs though!

It isn’t merely about donning a suit. There’s so much that goes into wearing one. It’s all about a glove-like fit and attention to detail. Don’t get bogged down by the rules- if there’s one thing that guarantees instant attention, that of the good kind, everywhere you go, it’s your own suit.

Embrace the following pointers and you’ll never have a bad day again. Satisfaction guaranteed!

Casual Outfit

casual-style-shoes

The casual outfit is best used in social events that require little to no formality. This style should be utilized when you want to relax and feel good in your clothes, but you still want that “successful” element.

The last button should always be open

MG_1017-689x1024

The last button of your suit is purely for aesthetic purposes. You don’t need to bother with it. Keep it open. Always!

Semi-formal Outfit

Simple_shirt_pants_outfit_ideas_for_men_1

Get ready to break that piggy bank because this dress code is going to cost you as much or even more than the business suit. The semi-formal attire for men can be represented by the tuxedo (black tie) or the more flexible alternative (the stroller suit). Even so, get ready to impress.

For a wedding, you can go for a tuxedo with a bow tie, leather shoes, and cummerbund.

Remember, when you wear this type of outfit you must show that you are confident and know what you’re doing. The tuxedo will definitely make you look like a successful one, but you must also act like one.

If you’re wearing a dark suit, a light pocket square is advised

david-beckham-gq-12oct18_shutterstock_b

And vice-versa. While on pocket squares, make sure it’s well-ironed.

Dressing for a Date

African-Ankara-Print-Designs-For-Couples

Being successful doesn’t always mean that you have to own a business or earn a lot of money. Sometimes, being smooth with the ladies can also be categorized as a success. It also works the other way around. Dressing and acting like a successful man can be an advantage if you want to impress a girl.

When you are dressing for a date, remember that some clothes can highlight the best parts of your body. In other words, your image as a man can be improved with the right garments. It’s all about physical attraction, and because the clothes cover most of your body, they will do most of the talking. With the appropriate clothes, the positive features will be improved and the less attractive features will be minimized. So, learn how to dress to impress and show respect.

Another thing that an appropriate outfit can do is put you in the right state of mind. You will be more confident; you will be less clumsy and more calculated.

So, if you are planning to take your date to a fancy restaurant, make sure to check the restaurant’s dress code. You will need to prepare most of the date, so research is necessary. You will look like a fool if you come wearing a wrong set of clothes for a night at a fancy place.
